Closing in on the City

Sail San Diego is located at one of the closest marinas to the Pacific Ocean so our guests have their choice of either sailing in the Harbor or heading out to the Pacific Ocean to see the sun drop right into the water. Meet a host of wildlife on your way including sea lions and dolphins that you can experience up-close and personal.

Our trips are all small and private taking only 2 to 6 guests. But, if you have one big party up to 12. we will rent you the boat. If you or your guest don’t feel comfortable taking the helm. We can suggest many of the best local captains for hire. Our yachts our beautifully appointed, roomy 40′ Catalina sailing vessels. The cockpit on these boats are the roomiest possible for our guests to stretch out and relax! The 400 Catalina boosts a huge cockpit with ample room for entertaining and stretching out to relax! even more so than many 50′ charter sailboats. We also put some really comfy seats on the bow- the best seat in the house!

Price: $85.00 per person (call for chartering prices of 7 or more guests)

Times: 4 trips daily (trip times vary due to sunset times)

Duration: 3 hours (you can book the boat for longer, call for pricing)

Not only are these boats beautifully maintained and cleaned they are decorated so you feel like you are coming to sail on a friends boat for the day. Sail San Diego always wants their guests as comfortable as possible and provides you with all of the extra polar fleece jackets, blankets, hats,wind-gear, sunscreens, sunglasses, binoculars and much more. If you need anything, we will have it on board.

We provide and invite our guests to enjoy all of the complimentary beverages including cold beer, white wine, and a nice selection of non-alcoholic beverages. We also provide a nice variety of snacks to enjoy while under sail. This is all complimentary!

There is a nice selection of music for you to enjoy or you may bring your own IPOD to plug into our state of the art sound system.

Our charters are designed for our guests to relax and take in the sights of beautiful San Diego. Of course, if a guest wants to take the helm we encourage it but it is not required! There is no having to work on our boats, no standing or sitting on uncomfortable parts. These boats have two really nice (female maintained) bathrooms or “heads” for our guests to use!
